Urn Stand Mahogany Side Table from Monticello

In the 18th century, small tables of this type were used to hold a coffee urn. Based on a piece in Colonial Williamsburg's collection, the pullout slide of this mahogany side table held a cup as the coffee was poured. Made of solid wood with brass knob, the urn stand mahogany side table makes a useful chair-side or bedside table with its handy x-shaped lower shelf.
