An antique Turkish handwoven kilim area rug. This wool area rug features a geometric pattern of sawtooth hooks and diamond motifs in a paneled design over an ivory field, in an overall palette of brick orange, pinks, steel grey, pale green, shades of blue and cinnamon. The wide border has a sawtooth design in the field colors, with a large scale reciprocal Laleh Abbasi pattern. It has multicolored overcast edges and long, natural undyed wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
