We love learning new furniture vocabulary! Bonnetieres were originally created to store the elaborate wigs and hats favored by 18th century French aristocracy. This one door piece has a smaller footprint than most armoires of the era but offers so much storage (think of how tall hats and wigs were back then!). Would look equally good in a traditional setting as a modern one.
