Set of 4 Framed Sarah Irvin Ink Series
The artist’s words:
I write cursive text on a smooth surface with ink and then use a squeegee to destroy the marks I have created. The ink spreads across surface into a new composition. The resulting marks are the remnant of the written word, but the meaning has been confused and hidden. I use phrases and words my daughter has said as she learns to talk as well as my own memories of a family member who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. The series is an effort to represent the acquisition and subsequent potential loss of language.
These are beautifully floated and framed and will make a large impact in any room.
45” x 31” each
