A beautiful and rare find! This chromolith of the White Fronted Goose by J. Bien is one of the few prints completed during the Civil War, prior to a complete shutdown in production. Framed in simple black and gilt frame the chromolith depicts a male and female goose. Print, mats and backing were cleaned and de-acidified in April 1985. Full Sheet 14-1, plate 380.
